TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ignasius Jonan, appointed Dwi Soetjipto as the new head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities or SKK Migas, replacing Amien Sunaryadi, who is entering his retirement period.

The inauguration was held today in the ministry’s Sarulla room in Central Jakarta. Jonan read out the appointment and was followed by Dwi Soetjipto.

“I promise to be loyal and obedient to the 1945 Constitution, will uphold the ethics of office, work as well as possible, be full of responsibility, and maintain integrity, and not abuse my authority,” Dwi Soetjipto said Monday, December 3.

Amien has been the head of SKK Migas since 2014 when Sudirman Said was still ESDM minister. He retired at the age of 58.

Dwi Soetjipto is a former president director of state-owned energy company PT Pertamina (Persero). The government dismissed Dwi Soetjipto and the deputy president director of Pertamina Ahmad Bambang through a termination letter that was handed over by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Rini Soemarno, Friday morning, February 3, 2017.
